William Clinton Hovious. Son of Parris HOVIOUS and Eliza Ann MAJORS. Born in Martinsville, Ind., 9 July 1856. Married, at Toledo Ill., on 25 Dec 1873, Sarah M. PADRICK [21 May 1855 - 11 Jun 1925, born Indianapolis, daughter of William and Eliza Padrick]. Children:
In 1892 William and his family settled near Creston, Iowa. William C. Hovious died there on 15 July 1908. His obituary indicated he'd been a "sufferer of paralysis" and "succumbed to the third stroke", though just three days earlier he had "walked to the business district from his residence and seemed to be progressing nicely from the disease...He had just enjoyed a visit from his brother, Mrs. Hovious being at the station when death came to her husband."
