James M. Hovious Born in 1815, Kentucky. Son of William HOVIOUS and Kitty CARREL. Married Lucy Jane PHILLIPS 4 March 1840 in Livingston Co., KY. (She was the daughter of William Edgar Phillips and Judith Ramage, and a sister of James' cousin Thomas' wife.) James M. Hovious grew up with his mother, Kitty Hovious Metcalf, his brother Peter and sister Rebecca in Green Co., KY. He lived in Lincoln Co. in 1840. In his early life he farmed, but in 1860 he gave his profession as carpenter and in 1870 as carver. He is believed to have died between 1870 and 1880.

    7. Susan Lovinia Hovious, b. 1857, Liv.Co., KY. Died before 1870.
    8. Maggie F. Hovious, b. Feb 1860, Liv. Co., KY. Died before 1870.
