Lt. Fred J. Hovious. Son of Frederick Jasper HOVIOUS and Beatrice JOHNSON. Born in Mississippi, 1924.
Fred was a commissioned officer in the Army Air Corps, where he served as co-pilot of a B-25. In late 1944 he won the Air Medal for "courageous service tp combat organizations, his fellow airmen, his country, home and family". His plane was destroyed on 22 April 1945 over Formosa in the battle for the Pacific.
