John Lindbergh Hovious. Son of Charles Russell HOVIOUS and Ruby GRIFFITH. Born in De Queen, Arkansas, on 1 July 1927. Married Janie STATZ.

According to an obituary published in the Riverside, CA Press Enterprise, John Lindbergh Hovious "served in the U. S. Navy. He was a self-employed professional horseman and a Hollywood stunt man for 33 years. He and his wife were rodeo trick riders who performed all over the U. S. and the world." He performed under the name Redd Russell. He and his wife were stunt riders in movies and shows with Gene Autry. Janie took falls for Kitty in Gunsmoke.

John died on 19 Oct 1995. He had no children.
